| Were we listening to real people?I was a radio announcer for many years but I honestly can’t tell that these aren’t real people! How did we create this blog? Our Training Director, Sam Ebersole, entered the GNA web address in an AI program and asked it to create an audio blog based on what it found. The full blog is about ten minutes long and skillfully describes what GNA does, even commenting on current stories on our GNA.news website! The tone is faith-sympathetic–pretty good for “non-believing machines!” But they stop short of giving glory to Jesus, which is GNA’s purpose and our calling as Christians. |
| Can AI help the Church?To further explore the AI phenomenon, Sam took his camera to an AI “hackathon”, a computer programming contest held this year in Boulder, Colorado. Teams of programmers from around the world worked 48 hours straight to create new Artificial Intelligence apps for the church.
