We are honored to announce that David W. Hanses has joined the Board of Directors of the San Diego Film Foundation. David has been a close friend of the organization for more than 13 years, bringing a deep passion for film and for our mission, along with a thoughtful perspective and engaging presence. He brings an extraordinary depth of experience in philanthropy, community engagement, and institutional growth, as well as a genuine enthusiasm for advancing creative and educational initiatives. David currently serves as Executive Director of Development at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at University of California, San Diego, and has previously held leadership roles at La Jolla Playhouse and the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, where he has led major philanthropic efforts supporting the arts, science, and education.  “I’m thrilled to be joining the board and look forward to working alongside the leadership that has dedicated themselves to the organization by providing a window to the world for our great City.
