ORLANDO, FL — In what The Liberty Sentinel is calling a “devastating” survey, the almost complete loss of confidence in government-run schools is on full display with nearly 75% of Americans expressing dissatisfaction with the public school system.
According to The Sentinel: “Almost three out of four Americans are dissatisfied with the government schools being funded by their taxes, the highest level of dissatisfaction ever reported, according to a new ‘Mood of the Nation’ survey by Gallup released [last] month. Less than one in four reports being satisfied with the quality of the system.”
These alarming poll results coincided with the release of recent findings from the National Assessment of Educational Process (NAEP), says The Sentinel. The NAEP, more popularly known as “The Nation’s Report Card,” paints a grim picture of declining academic performance among American students. The data indicates a troubling trend of diminishing scholastic aptitude, with fewer than 33% of pupils demonstrating competency in fundamental academic areas.

While the Gallup survey did not include the reasons for America’s overwhelming dissatisfaction with the government school system, The Sentinel explored likely causes according to education analysts. These included but were not limited to:
· Hostility toward Christianity
· Dramatically “dumbed down” academic standards
· Left-wing indoctrination
· Sexualization
· Promotion of gender confusion
· Inappropriate library books
As a result, says The Sentinel, America’s government-run public school system has become one of the nation’s most unpopular institutions, ranking 29 out of 31 in public satisfaction.
In its search for solutions, The Sentinel looked to insights from education experts, such as Covenant Journey Academy Advisory Board Member and President of Public School Exit Dran Reese, who explained, “Many parents remain in public schools despite being dissatisfied because the alternative, such as homeschooling, feels overwhelming. … Instead of exploring other options, they often turn a blind eye and convince themselves that the issues don’t affect their own children. … However, the day will come when parents realize that homeschooling can be one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling family activities they could ever experience.”
That day has come for an increasing number of America’s families. The unprecedented level of discontent — coupled with the declining academic performance of public schools — has led many families to explore alternative education options. Homeschooling through programs like Covenant Journey Academy (CJA) is providing families with turnkey homeschool solutions, offering numerous benefits and addressing many of the concerns currently plaguing traditional public education.
“One of the key advantages for families of choosing CJA is a parent’s ability to tailor education to each child’s unique needs,” explains CJA Founder and Chancellor Mat Staver. “Homeschooling allows children to learn through a variety of academic courses, taught by certified teachers, within the context of a safe and Christ-centered environment. Not only that, but CJA offers more personalized attention to students and flexible schedules for nontraditional or traveling families.”
Homeschooled students can pursue their interests and strengths more deeply than they’re able to in a crowded or lower-quality public school setting. This fosters a genuine love for learning in children’s lives and a commitment to excellence — both academically and outside the classroom.
Bottom line: As public satisfaction with traditional education continues to decline, homeschooling through CJA is a worthwhile and increasingly attractive alternative for families who want to foster biblical values and academic distinction within their home.
With Covenant Journey Academy, homeschooling is not just an option — it’s a pathway to a brighter, more successful future for children of all ages and abilities.
