Thursday, October 12th: This year’s 24th annual Newport Beach Film Festival kicked off with a fabulous Red Carpet attended by 100’s of Movie Goers followed up with the NBFF Opening Movie, The Absence of Edon! The mayor of Newport Beach, Noah Blom, and several other “talents” took their turn on the Red Carpet. It was quite enjoyable to see these great actors, directors and many other invited guests take their turn walking the “Red”!
The Great Sponsors of this year’s NBFF were reviled and thanked by the Co-Founders, Greg Schwenk and Todd Quartararo, of the festival to a packed house. Acknowledging that without them, the festival would not exist! Then there was the Q & A with the Director of the movie, Marco Perego Saldana, who shared much about making the film and, if I heard him correctly, they completed it in 21 days? Wow!
