Inglewood, Ca. Washington scored on three quarterback Demond Williams Jr. touchdown passes of 78, 6 and 3 yards in the second quarter Saturday night and never looked back as the Huskies dominated Boise State 39 to 10 in what is expected to be the last ever LA Bowl.

It was Washington (9-4) with its fourth win in their last five bowl game appearances. The Mountain West Champion Broncos (9-5) where no match for the Huskies as backup quarterback Max Cutforth replaced an injured Madsen Maddux after he threw two interceptions. Maddux was wearing a plastic boot on the sideline in the second half after reinjuring his lower leg that took him out of the Boise State line up for four games last month.

The Huskies scored 38 consecutive points, including 21 in the second quarter, before the Broncos scored a touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
In front of 20,269 fans and a national ABC Television audience, Washington had no players opt out of participation in the LA Bowl. Defensively, the Huskies finished with five interceptions.
“They treated the game as we asked them to, which is a championship game, a championship opportunity,” said Washington Head Coach Jedd Fisch. It was the Huskies first appearance in the LA Bowl.

Like last year’s Sun Bowl, Williams threw on four touchdown passes, as Washington wide receiver Danzel Boston, who scored the game’s first touchdown on an untouched 78-yard reception, his 11th this season, now has 20 career scoring grabs. Washington scored four touchdowns within 13 minutes to blow the game wide open.
The University of Michigan has potential interest in Fisch, as they are looking to fill their Head coach vacancy.
Boise State moves to the new Pac-12 next season as Washington, playing in the Big Ten, expects to play in the College Football Playoff. Williams was the games offensive most valuable player and Washington linebacker Xe’ree Alexander was named defensive MVP.
