Vegas to Reno 2021

Pro Racing Race report
Vegas to Reno 2021
489 Miles

Position: Second

Brett Maister and Matt Lovell teamed up to race the 2021 Vegas to Reno race with best in the Desert racing association.  This is the longest off road race in America.

Racing in the Jeepspeed class 4700, the Pro Truck 4744 designed and developed by “Ironman” Ivan Stewart has been reborn as the “outlaw” unlimited Jeepspeed class.  The Pro Racing truck has been completely redone with only the best components and electronics.  The motor is a LS3 from Danzio with 550hp with the suspension upgraded to King Shocks.  This small but mighty truck screams through the desert with ease.

With many covid restrictions in Las Vegas the race went off pretty smoothly.  Best in the desert had it completely under control with a remote meeting and keeping everyone safe.

Friday 13th 2021 was go day and the truck was running extremely well.  Matt Lovell took the truck off the line to a drivers swop with Brett Maister jumping in and reaching speeds of up to 95 mph on some long dirt roads.  Matt jumped back in the truck and ran hard and fast into first place when the truck had a major blowout on the rear left taking out the tire and pulling the fender off the truck.  Jumping into second place the truck started to catch first and we could see the lights in the dust when a quick right turn came up and a rock took out the driveshaft.

Pro racing placed second in its first Best in the desert race and this Pro Truck performed like a champ.
