| (WASHINGTON, DC) THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2025 — The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), the world’s largest association of Christian communicators, joins believers worldwide in mourning the passing of Charlie Kirk—a friend to NRB, a dynamic communicator, and a tireless advocate for faith and freedom. We celebrate his enduring legacy of inspiring the next generation. The following statement is attributable to Troy A. Miller, NRB president & CEO: “We are devastated by the news of Charlie Kirk’s passing. Charlie was a friend to NRB and to so many in our community. He spoke at our convention, set up his broadcast booth on the floor, and had a unique ability to connect with and inspire younger audiences. “Charlie’s influence reached beyond politics; he created space for principled public discourse at a time when it is desperately needed. He championed speech over violence and conviction over compromise, inspiring a generation to stand for faith and freedom. “Charlie embodied what it meant to speak the truth in love. He was a man who cared deeply about people and the lives they lived. He wanted the best for them and for this country. His death is a senseless act, and our prayers go out to his wife, children, and entire family. He is in the arms of his Lord and Savior now.” As we remember his life, we hold to the words of Scripture: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7). And we trust that Charlie has heard the words of his Lord, “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23). WHAT THE NRB COMMUNITY IS SAYING: American Family Association: “Charlie Kirk lived out these words. He was never afraid to stand for truth, even when the cost was hatred, ridicule, or worse. He didn’t shrink back from his convictions: that life is sacred, that family matters, that America should be safe and strong, and that faith is worth defending.” Jack Graham: “To live is Christ and to die is gain. [Charlie’s] voice and witness of Truth will not be silenced but will rather inspire courage in a generation of young men and women who will continue to boldly proclaim the message of Life and Hope. Jesus is Lord.” Jack Hibbs: “I cannot express how incredibly proud I have been of his faithful Christian witness and the way he has honored the Lord Jesus Christ with his life. Charlie was known as an intellectual giant, a very compassionate young man, and one who was tirelessly devoted to this nation’s welfare and our glorious republic.” Dr. Alveda King: “Right now, I am praying for Charlie Kirk’s family, his wife and his precious children. I am praying for our nation to be united. United doesn’t mean we all agree. It means we all agree that violence is never the way.” Greg Laurie: “Charlie… was not only a bold and unwavering voice for biblical truth in our culture, but also a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, a husband, and a family man. He will be deeply missed. As shocking as this news is, we can take comfort in knowing that Charlie is now in Heaven. The moment he took his last breath here on earth, he took his first breath in the presence of the Lord.” Lucas Miles: “America lost one of her greatest champions today. My boss and friend, Charlie Kirk, was martyred for the truth. … There is a time to grieve, and we grieve deeply, but the work he began will not come to nothing. He carried it so far with tireless strength—now it will take all of us to carry it forward.” Carrie Sheffield: “Charlie Kirk was a devoted man who deeply loved God, his country and family.
