Palos Verdes Estates, Ca. Marina Alex shot a five under par 66 on Sundays final round to win the inaugural Palos Verdes Championship. Alex finished the tournament with a four-day total of 10 under par. Alex, 31, overcame windy and hilly conditions to post her best score of the week on Sunday, a five under par 66 to secure the one stroke victory. It was Alex’s second tournament win on the LPGA Tour. Alex finished tied for tenth place last week at the LA Open at Wilshire Country Club.
J.Y. Ko finished in sole second place after also finishing with a 66 on Sunday. Ko opened the Tournament shooting a 64 on Thursday. Third round leader Hannah Green shot a one over par 72 on Sunday to finish at -7 tied for fifth place. Last week Green finished second in the LA Open.
This wraps up the LPGA Tour’s five tournament West Coast swing.
