‘”What happens in Virginia will, in large part, determine what happens in 2022, 2024, and on,” she said…’
Unfortunately for the smug VP, the election didn’t turn out so well for her party in Virginia — a state where Democrats have recently scored substantial victories.
It looks as if Republicans are set to sweep Virginia in a massive turn of events and despite the state’s new mail-in voting charade. Political analysts are now predicting a “red wave” in the 2022, and possibly even the 2024 elections.
Before the GOP deluge hit, an uninspired Harris tried to work the crowd into a frenzy, delivering a vague and remarkably unremarkable speech.
“So listen. Four days to go,” she said.
“Tomorrow is a very important day, and the days leading up to Tuesday are very important days, and Tuesday is a critical day that will determine whether we either turn back the clock or move it forward,” she continued.
“… having a vision and knowing what can be unburdened by what has been having the ability to have a governor of this beautiful commonwealth of Virginia who understands the people,” she rambled, “who has always been a fighter for the people, who has the experience to represent the people, who has the courage and the fight to fight for the people — all for the benefit of this beautiful state.”
“You gonna bring this home, right? Yes, you are,” she added, encouraging the audience to maintain its enthusiasm for the embattled Terry McAuliffe.
Harris then optimistically worked into a prediction that the Virginia election would be a bellwether for upcoming elections.
“What happens in Virginia will, in large part, determine what happens in 2022, 2024, and on,” she said.
But, despite a Biden-Harris victory in the state only one year ago, it now appears that the Veep’s stab at soothsaying has backfired.
