KEEP GOD’S LAND

Dear supporters of Judea and Samaria,

In a deeply troubling move, Mark Memmott,  senior director of standards and practices at CBS News, explicitly directed thousands of CBS journalists: “Do not refer to Jerusalem as being in Israel.” This blatant erasure of Jerusalem’s status as the capital of Israel is not only factually incorrect but a direct affront to the holy city’s significance to Jews and Christians alike.

CBS’s bias doesn’t stop there. When anchor Tony Dokoupil dared to challenge author Ta-Nehisi Coates on his one-sided antisemitic new book demonizing Israel, CBS immediately admonished him and forced him to apologize. The truth is, Dokoupil’s questions were eminently fair. He asked, “Why leave out that Israel is surrounded by countries that want to eliminate it?” “Why leave out that Israel deals with terror groups that want to eliminate it?” “Why not detail anything of the first and second intifada… the cafe bombings, the bus bombings, the little kids blown to bits?” Tony Dokoupil did his job – and was publicly humiliated by CBS for doing so.

Let us be clear: Jerusalem is and always will be God’s Land – and we will keep it forever, whether CBS likes it or not. “And it shall come to pass on that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come upon Jerusalem” (Zechariah 12:9). Those who “come upon Jerusalem” will bring destruction – not to Jerusalem, but to themselves.
