The Event Will Honor Kent, the Recent Recipient of the Songwriter of the Year Award from the Olympia Awards of Las Vegas, Nevada, His Debut EP, and His Current Single, “Red, White & Blue”
| LAS VEGAS, Nev. (April 23, 2024) – To celebrate the upcoming release of LeRae Records recording artist Fate Kent’s debut solo project, Life Goes On…The Trilogy, the label will host “An Evening with Fate Kent” on Friday, June 14, 2024. The event will take place at District North in Las Vegas, Nevada. | Producers for the project, which includes two bonus tracks, include Deandre Embrey, Michael Lei, Daniel DePree Dangerfield, and Brad Alexander. The event will also honor the recent accomplishments of Kent, a prolific songwriter who recently received the Songwriter of the Year Award from the Olympia Awards of Las Vegas, Nevada. “I am so honored to have received this award,” says Kent, an esteemed speaker and life coach, who currently serves as an associate pastor of the Abundant Peace United Church of Christ in Las Vegas. In addition to recording his own music, Kent has written and co-written songs for other artists, including labelmate Marvinetta Clay’s hit debut single, “God Is So Good,” which he co-wrote with another labelmate, Jack Yates. “God Is So Good,” which rose to No. 2 on the Synergy 1 Gospel radio chart in 2022, is a silky-smooth, jazz-inflected, Gospel-Urban Contemporary synthesis. Kent, whose voice has been compared to such Motown greats as Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke, and Smokey Robinson, but with a sound that is uniquely his own that uplifts the mind and spirit, is based in his hometown of Las Vegas, and has performed with music legends including Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan. |
