Legoland California had their Grand Opening today of the world’s first LEGO City of San Diego in Miniland USA! It was just awesome! The leadership of Legoland did an awesome job putting everything into place. The presentation was perfect and everything came together just right!
Representatives from the City of San Diego, other cities and special guests, gathered together to experience the sights, music, tasty treats and community in this special joy filled celebration!
Over 5 million, yes I said 5 million, Lego pieces were carefully assembled by qualified engineers and others to create each of the buildings and structures that make San Diego as very special as it is! The Mission, Downtown, Petco Park, Coronado Island with the Del Coronado Hotel. Add to that Del Mar, the race track, the Symphony, the beaches, the harbor, City Hall, and so many more iconic locations. WOW!
I wandered around the new San Diego Mini city just taking it all in. The deeper I looked into each area the more I saw. They even had little Lego people moving in certain areas. For example, the Umpire at Petco Park would unexpectedly spin around. Then there were the dogs on the beach moving, the horses racing at the Del Mar Race Track. I even found a small workman on a jackhammer in the breaking up the street! Wow again!
So, the time is now to see the Lego Mini City of San Diego at the Carlsbad, California Legoland! It is an adventure into just one of the fun experiences of what all Legoland has to offer.
