Event to bring together government officials and thought leaders to highlight the nation’s founding Christian values as it approaches its 250th anniversary
WASHINGTON, D.C. (NRB) — The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), the largest association of Christian communicators, is pleased to welcome Seth Dillon, CEO of The Babylon Bee, as a speaker for the NRB Freedom 250 Celebration on Thursday, February 19, 2026, during the NRB 2026 International Christian Media Convention at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn. He will be joined by another very special guest, to be announced next week.
Marking 250 years of American independence, the Celebration brings together national leaders, Christian voices, and cultural influencers for an evening honoring the faith foundations of the American experiment and the enduring call to live as “one nation under God.”
The evening will open with a ceremonial color guard, the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Band directed by Chief Warrant Officer 2 Martin R. Johnston on behalf of the Commanding General Major General David Gardner, and a prayer by John Amanchukwu drawing back the curtain on a commemorative program that will include both patriotic and Christian heritage tributes. Musical performances will be woven throughout the program, with Alexis Wilkins performing the National Anthem and America the Beautiful; Shine, Liberty University’s a cappella group, leading patriotic and traditional hymns; and Matthew West transitioning the program toward worship.
The Freedom 250 Celebration will highlight special presentations from NRB partners, including Coral Ridge Ministries, PragerU, and WallBuilders, and is sponsored by Liberty University’s Standing for Freedom Center and Flash Point Army.
Matthew Potter of Pray.com will announce the latest with the America Prays initiative and an America Celebrates message will follow from an official A250 Task Force representative. The evening will conclude with a “One Nation Under God” spoken word and closing prayer from Lorenzo Sewell.
Through multimedia storytelling, historical reflections, music, and prayer, the NRB Freedom 250 Celebration will honor the nation’s Semiquincentennial, recognize its founding Christian values, and encourage and equip Christians, and America’s pulpits, to return to those foundational principles.
The Freedom 250 Celebration builds on NRB’s mission to defend First Freedoms, promote biblical truth, and equip Christian communicators to engage the digital and public square with courage as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary.
