Costa Mesa, California: It’s here and now!! The OC Fair opened on Friday the 15th offering the community Fun, Laughter, Sights, Entertainment, Food, Farming, Animals, Exhibits, Music, Concerts and more! Such a joy to see all of the smiling faces soaking in everything that the Fair has to offer!
I always seen to start off with a Cinnamon Roll from “Old West Cinnamon Rolls” who bring their so tasty treats to be made fresh before your eyes from Pismo Beach. I know I’m in the right building too, I believe it is the N/W building, when I smell those awesome Cinnamon Rolls that are coming out of the ovens hot and ready!!
Next, I usually visit the High Seas Hawiian Trading Company to purchase a few new shirts from Terrill Agnew, the owner who seems to be there from start to finish every day. Fabulous, long-lasting shirts that I will wear a good portion of the year, especially here in SoCal! Should you miss them at the Fair, the High Seas Trading Co. can also be reached at www.highseastrading.com as they will be more than happy to assist you in every way!
From there I check out all of the different vendors inside each building to take a fresh look at their product or service. Some have been there many years and there were many new ones too. I also visit the Craftsman Section, Photo Section and, well, basically everything! This all needs to be done for me as the Concert inside the Hangar starts around 8 PM with the doors opening up at 7 PM.
The OC Fair team has put together a fabulous line up for this year’s Concerts at both the Hangar and the Pacific Ampitheater. The Communications Department has a big task keeping everything flowing and one of their best, Roxanne Ancona, is usually the representative making sure on their end, that everything is flowing as it should. Roxanne was there to greet me before the show and go over the finer points.
It’s always a joy to see familiar faces like the inside team making sure everyone has there proper seat after the set up is complete. These guys, and gals, are such a joyful group!
Last night it was the tribute band to Led Zeppelin, Led Zipplica, who put on another superior show! Led Zipplica performs all over the USA as well as performing internationally. A fabulous show with replication so close to the originals you’ll feel like it’s the “real thing” as they sing all of your favorite songs along with the similar moves…. WOW!
Looking for something fantastic to do Wednesday through Sunday for the next 4 weeks?? Get yourself, family and friends down to the OC Fair… Be sure to pick up your tickets online ahead of time!
See you there!
