A modern-day “Sound of Music”–style drama has been unfolding in Cambridge at the elusive
Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Open Media Lab. Much like Captain von Trapp, MIT
whistleblower and scientist Babak Babakinejad has been sounding the alarm against his “MIT family”
for four years in the Massachusetts Superior Court.
He alleges a pattern mirroring the “Nazi crimes of eugenics, human trafficking, and transhumanism.”
These claims are part of his RESTRICTED case, in which he filed motions seeking to depose
individuals he identifies as alleged CIA operatives connected to Jeffrey Epstein and his operations at
the MIT Media Lab.
Among those he sought to depose are Caleb Harper, former Research Director at the Media Lab; Joi
Ito, former Director of the Media Lab and Bates Lab; Phyllis Carter; Hildreth England; and Dr. Maria
Zuber, Vice President for Research. On October 23, 2025, Judge Helene Kazanjian denied his request
for depositions. I was present in the courtroom and witnessed what appeared to be a continued pattern
of retaliation by MIT through its attorneys Martin Murphy and Richard Perkins of Manatt, Phelps &
Phillips, LLP.
A major concern is that Governor Maura Healey sits on the MIT Corporation Board. This creates an
apparent conflict of interest, raising concerns about whether Judge Kazanjian—whom Healey
appointed—should recuse herself.
On September 15, 2025, the New England Revive 2025 Conference concluded in Woburn,
Massachusetts, where I was a guest speaker and singer. At the same time, I filed a Motion to Intervene
in the whistleblower case, along with an Amicus Curiae (“Friend of the Court”) brief calling for a Biblical
moral reset for all parties, given the potential for civil unrest.
Three days later, I was asked to give opening remarks—prayer and song—at the candlelight service for
Charlie Kirk, whom I had urged on August 1, 2025, to investigate the case.
The brief submitted by myself and the Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast, Inc. referenced the
Massachusetts Constitution, the Mayflower Compact, and the writings of John Locke, Henry
Blackstone, and John Winthrop—the latter invoking the “City on a Hill.”
On October 8, 2025, I played the grand piano for the memorial reception following Senator Edward
Kennedy’s funeral near Lowell, Massachusetts. At dinner, I was seated with staff and shared the details
of the case with Dominick Lay, the District Director for Middlesex County. I also performed a song
written in Jerusalem titled “The Glory Realm.”
In The Sound of Music, Maria is sent by the Mother Superior to intervene on behalf of the von Trapp
family. I am reminded of the moment when the von Trapp children return to the convent, pleading for
Maria’s help after a period of separation. How many former students trafficked through Epstein’s networks are spiritually standing at the gates of our comfortable lives—waiting for us to act?
In the true story, the Austrian citizens at the music festival voted the von Trapps as winners, enabling
their escape as Nazi officers stood ready to force Captain von Trapp into their ranks.
My own father was a World War II hero who served with General Patton in the U.S. Army. He and the
70th Tank Battalion faced the Nazis at the Battle of the Ardennes and on the beaches of Normandy. In
a letter to my grandmother, he wrote:
“Don’t believe the newspapers; the war is not over. There will be more battles to fight, but this one thing
I know — in the end we have the victory.”
The outcome can be the same today—if we unite our faith, our focus, our prayers, and our actions.
The next hearing in Civil Action 2181-1904 will be held at 2:00 PM on January 27, 2026, in Courtroom
