Ukrainians–an army of ants!

By: Stan Jeter

How have Ukrainians survived the 19-month Russian invasion? They have helped each other like “an army of ants”. One volunteer group–UA.ANTS–was formed by Christians who evacuated from Donetsk and other cities under attack.

War Widows and orphans. UA.ANTS volunteers treated 20 war widows and their children to a mountain retreat with activities, fellowship and first-class accommodations.  As one widow said, it was a place “to be safe, protected by trust, by love among women who are truly lacking this right now.  And it is amazing how comfortable and light we felt here.” Click here or on the picture to watch the story.

Mobile Dentists are volunteering their services in villages where dental care is not available. Watch this story from the Kyiv Jewish Messianic Congregation, one of the largest Messianic groups in the world.  Their volunteers have offered comfort and assistance in Christ’s name to fellow Ukrainians since the war began.

Our London Bureau Chief, Peter Wooding, will return to Ukraine next month to produce more stories about Christian volunteers making a difference in the midst of conflict.  You’ll find his reports and many more at  https://GNA.news.  We hope our stories will encourage you with fresh evidence that God is at work in today’s world.

“Then the righteous will answer him, When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’  The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'”
