NEW POLL—Amidst College Protests Against Jews on Eve of Passover, Gen Z Sides with Hamas

While Majority of Americans Still Support Israel, Nearly Half of Gen Z Voters Say Campaign Against Hamas is Unjust

1/3 of Gen Z Believes Israel Does Not Have Right to Exist as a Country

April 25, 2024

(Manitou Springs, CO—April 22, 2024) Summit.org, in partnership with RMG Research, founded by Scott Rasmussen, one of the world’s leading public opinion pollsters—is releasing the results of a national survey. Results were from a survey of 1,497 registered voters nationwide that included 495 18–24-year-old voters and was conducted March 20-21.

“We are now seeing the logical outcome of an education system that teaches students to see the world through a lens of racialist resentment. Gen Z is so embarrassed about being American that a large swath of them have become terrorist sympathizers,” said Dr. Jeff Myers, President of Summit Ministries. “Gen Z is three times as likely as the general population to deny Israel’s right to exist. Sympathy for Hamas has grown. This should be a massive wake-up call to parents, educators, and cultural leaders—we now have a generation primed to accept without question the propaganda of those who wish to overturn Judeo-Christian civilization.”

The survey was conducted online for Summit Ministries on March 20-21, 2024 by RMG Research. The sample included 1,002 Registered Voters with an additional oversample of 495 18-24 year old voters. The sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of Registered Voters. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points. The margin of sampling error for 18-24 year olds is +/- 4.4 percentage points.
