300 young immigrants arrived in Israel to make Aliyah (immigration). They will serve Israel in the Israel Defense Force (IDF). There are currently 1,000 lone soldiers from the US and 3,000 lone soldiers from around the world serving in the IDF.
PA Sends Hamas’ Medicine to Venezuela – The Palestinian Authority normally transfers 40% of its donated medicine to Hamas in the Gaza Strip, while 60% remains for the ‘West Bank’. But this month the PA donated Gaza’s portion of the donated medicine to Venezuela, angering Hamas who governs Gaza, as Gazans suffer without medicine.
Russian and Israel Meeting – Prime Minister Netanyahu will meet with Russian President Putin, on the 23rd of August, on the Black Sea. They will discuss the latest developments in the region. In the past two years, Netanyahu has met with Putin every few months in order to discuss regional issues and to prevent friction between Israeli and Russian air forces in Syria.
California Islamic Cleric Incites Violence Against Jews – In a sermon given in the US., Islamic leader Shahin called for a worldwide genocide of the Jewish people. The preacher explained why he believes the genocide must happen.
US Embassy Will Be Moved To Jerusalem – Vice President Mike Pence announced at the Christians United for Israel conference that it’s not a matter of if the US embassy will be move to Jerusalem, but ‘when’ it will be moved.
Terrorists Paid for Killing American The Palestinian Authority (PA) spends $344 million, or just under half the money it receives in donations and aid from various governments around the world to pay terrorists. PA leader Abbas, condemned US Senators for their vote in favor of the Taylor Force Act, which calls to cut funding to the PA if it continues paying salaries to terrorists and families for killing Israelis. The PA’s rewarding of terror has been a source of contention between the PA and its American and European funders since 2011. The U.S. Congress passed the bill after learning that the family of the killer of American Veteran Taylor Force, who was murdered last year while visiting Israel is receiving a lifetime monthly stipend. Smart Security For Temple Mount – Israel will incorporate security measures based on advanced technologies and other measures instead of metal detectors in order to ensure the security of visitors and worshippers in the Old City and on the Temple Mount. The Security Cabinet allocated a budget of $25 million to implement the plan over the next six months.
Israelis Rally for Third Temple – Thousands of Israelis participated in an annual march around the walls of Jerusalem’s Old City, with special focus on the Temple Mount. Though it is Judaism’s holiest site, Jews are still not allowed to pray there due to threats of Muslim violence.
